Ravenpaw rolled her eyes seeing the leader pay more attention clearly to the tom, figures, of course why not pay attention to the nice tom, she went by un-noticed for the longest of whiles. Until of course her name was mentioned, she casted a cold glance to the leader, she rolled her eyes, 'Your friend Ravenpaw' she was no one friend. She was the outcasted loner of a she-cat who would rather rot in an elders den then use her talents of speaking with Starclan... sometimes, in truth, she thought she was crazy. She saw starry shadows move in the forest, disappearing and then reappearing, she spoke with cats right in front of her, then in a second they were vanished like a mist if stars heading to the sky. She was crazy, she wasn't no medicine cat, she just lost her mind. She never had one since she was a kit really. At the time, she had only been a kit and every-cat thought her tales of the starry cats were cute, the only to believe her was her brother, and now because of it, she was stuck being a medicine cat. Oh, how she longed to be in Canyonpaw's paw's being an apprentice to be a warrior... everyone cared for them. Perhaps it wasn't even the caring for her, she just... wanted to be a warrior, in fact she wanted to be leader. She couldn't help the envious look that potrayed in her eyes, showing off for a brief second her real desires, before falling back into that pool of icy blue, hiding within the cold emotions she masked inside them. She snorted a bit when she was nudged, as first moving no where, casting a glare towards the leaving leader as she turned back to Canyonpaw, "I agreed to this... why?" She meowed to herself, before shaking her head, she needed the walk anyways. She padded after Canyonpaw slowly limping but going as fast as she could without the pain that seemed to never leave her. She blamed the badger for that one though.

Canyonpaw burst through the entrance, feeling a boost of energy as he smelled the forest. Greenleaf this year brought enough prey scuttling around the forest floor, enough to keep the whole Clan full. His tail sticking straight up, he glanced back to see if Ravenpaw was following. Quite pleased to see the familiar dark she-cat, the tom instantly bounded forward, his senses alert. He stopped in a nice sandy clearing before opening his mouth to taste the air and really observe his surroundings. He instantly smelled a squirrel and heard the scuffling of feet near a root of a tree. The tan-furred tom waved his tail at Ravenpaw to get her attention, pointing at the gray creature, hoping Ravenpaw noticed. "C'mon! We'll work together to catch it!"he whispered, his yellow eyes gleaming with anticipation. He knew if he pounced at the squirrel, it'll just leap into the trees and disappear. What the two apprentices needed to do was distract it and then capture it. "I'll circle around the tree and surprise it while blocking its way to the tree. You wait hear and when it funs over, catch it!"he hissed.

As the pair went to leave Silentstar slid to her haunches her blue eyes glimmering lightly as she watched.
"Ravenpaw when you return I would like a word with you alone if you don't mind."
The silver leader smiled and stood turning to head back to her den.
"Don't worry its nothing bad"[/i]

Ravenpaw's eyes lingered back towards Silentstar, she snorted, "Fine..." She said and padded after Canyonpaw silently. She looked towards him and blinked as he spotted a squirrel and mentioned his plan. She scoffed a bit, "I can't hunt" she hissed quietly to him. "My shoulder... I'd be lucky if I caught it..." She said, "Can't I be the one to chase it towards you instead at least?" She offered, she could at least attempted to do that, what's the worst that could happen, she certainly, as much as she was saddened by it, couldn't hunt on her own. Her shoulder was broken and it prevented her from hunting, running... even jumping. She sighed abit and waited for his answer.

"Sure! Whatever works for you!"the easy-going tom replied back in a whisper. His tail flicked to the right, indicating where Ravenpaw should prowl to. He himself slunk towards the left, keeping his haunches low to the ground. His eyes never left the squirrel, glad to see the little critter hadn't noticed two cats nearby. He waited patiently, ready for his cue to attack.

Ravenpaw sighed and nodded her head lightly, she followed his tail with her icy blue eyes and nodded her head and limped off silently, she held in a groan as she stepped on her paw wrong. Depite that she made her way off, she made her way around the tree and then hissed she jumped out before the squirrel and let out a yowl of pain as it hurt from the landing but none the less scared the squirrel to Canyonpaw, she looked and waited for him to catch it, she wondered, when would her shoulder heal, she knew her wound was recent and would hurt for a while but would the pain truly ever end? She wondered this as her icy blue eyes watched the running squirrel.

Canyonpaw waited in the ferns, hoping his pelt was covered well by the green and brown fronds. His eyes darted betweent he squirrel and Ravenpaw, watching as the she-cat limped behind the squirrel. The fur on his back started to bristle with anticipation as Ravenpaw managed to startle the squirrel with a yowl. The little critter scampered in terror towards his direction. "Rawr!"the tan-furred tom roared, leaping out of the fronds and pouncing straight towards the squirrel. The squirrel had been moving too fast that it didn't have enough time to stop before Canyonpaw's claws sank into its flesh. The apprentice quickly finished it with a swift bite to the neck. "Ha! We did it!"Canyonpaw crowed, his yellow eyes gleaming with triumph. The tom picked up the limp squirrel and bounded towards Ravenpaw, dropping their catch at her paws. "Great job! That was an amazing yowl! I practically wanted to run away too,"he purred to Ravenpaw, obviously misinterpreting Ravenpaw's previous yowl of pain.

Ravenpaw winced and then looked up at Canyonpaw, she groaned a bit, "Thanks... it hurt a lot" She said. Ravenpaw winced a bit and laid down in pain, her shoulder hurt a lot, she hated it to much, why? Why did that badger have to break her shoulder? She hated badgers, and in truth she never wanted to see another one again. Ever... she had nightmares about them all the time, them and the death of her brother. It was not a happy topic for her. Her bright icy blue eyes looked up at him, showing the pain she felt.

Canyonpaw felt his excitement slowly ebb away as he noticed Ravenpaw didn't exactly look so pleased. His ears drooped slightly and his yellow eyes were slowly filled with concern. "Is something wrong?"the tan-furred tom asked, looking at his denmate curiously. His tail flicked back and forth with worry. He hated to see cats who were sad.

Ravenpaw snorted, like he hadn't noticed, but the thought occured... did he even know what happened to her? "My shoulder" She said to him quietly, she looked down, "It's broken and that landing didn't make it feel any better" She said quietly, in truth she wasn't supposed to be out of camp, she was supposed to be relaxing her shouler, but since when did Ravenpaw ever listen to the rules? She sighed a bit glaring at her shoulder which had slowly stopped aching as she relaxed but the pain didn't leave her one bit.

Canyonpaw's ear twitched sympathetically. "Oh...I'm sorry. I didn't know..."the tan-furred tom muttered sheepishly, his paws shuffling the ground. "Is that why you became a medicine cat?"the tom asked, gazing at her curiously.

Ravenpaw groaned, "No that's not why I became Medicine cat, I was forced to be" She growled and looked down, "Ever since I was little I could talk to Starclan like they were everyday cats, I didn't know they were Starclan until the Medicine cat caught me talking with one and stated that I have some gift or whatever and forced me to be the medicine cat... I don't want to be one I want to be a normal apprentice" She said to him quietly.

Canyonpaw twitched his ears as he listened to Ravenpaw. His eyes narrowed sympathetically, understanding how his Clanmate felt for the first time. Suddenly, he brightened up as an idea sprung into his head. He just hoped it'll work. "hey, come with me. I want to show you something!" the tan-furred meowed, his eyes sparking with excitement. without letting her even reply, the Tom turned and began trot towards the direction of Moonclan's border. Canyon paw stopped after covering a few fox-lengths, glancing back to see if Ravenpaw was following

"Show me something?" She asked curiously and then blinked as he took off already, she sighed and followed after him curious as to what he would show her, "Hey" she said again but he kept going, she rolled her eyes and then sighed again, it couldn't be so bad right? Ravenpaw looked over at Canyonpaw as he looked back to check if she was still behind him, she grew worried, what would he show her? Something stupid? She hoped not, she moved closer to him lightly.

Canyonpaw flashed an approving grin at her as he saw that she had followed him. Then without a word, the tom quickly padded on, past trees and bushes. A scuffle of leaves told them that prey was nearby but the tan-furred tom took no notice. His yellow eyes were fixed straight ahead with a determinated glint in his eyes. After a few mintues, the tom reached the edge of Moonclan territory, he stopped to catch his breath and looked back at Ravenpaw to see if she was already. "It's a little beyond our territory, you don't mind right?"the apprentice meowed. Normally, apprentices weren't allowed outside Moonclan territory, but it was only a few pawsteps ahead.
