Fur and Markings:
Emberthorn has a coat of thick, dark grey fur. The tips of her guard hairs are slightly paler in color than those of her down fur. Her coat is an inch long, and is distinctively oily, due to her MistClan background. Her fur has black mackerel tabby markings on her back, face, and legs. Her underbelly is light grey in appearance. Black rings circle her tail, while her paws have black socks.
Body Shape and Size:
Emberthorn is a lean cat and has a small, wiry frame. Her body is thin and strong, and her limbs and tail are lengthy and narrow. She walks on tapered paws with a long stride. The pads on them are black and slightly soft. Her eyes are a dark, forest green with large irises. Emberthorn's muzzle is short and narrow, ending in a pink snout. The whiskers on her muzzle are curled at the ends, and angled back towards her cheeks. Resting on the sides of her head, her ears are small and conical. Her body is built for speed and endurance. She is smaller than most she-cats her age. Paired with her slight build, she appears much younger than an adult cat.
Others (scars, distinguishable features ect):
Her left eye has a scar above the lid, caused by her brother in a play fight. Her eye does not open as fully because of it.

Personality:
Emberthorn is a thoughtful cat, often asking questions that cannot be answered. She is always seeking to learn new things and to understand things that do not make sense to the cats. She has a curiosity of the two leg world that she struggles with. This is because she despises two legs, yet she wishes to know more about them and why they are how they are. Emberthorn is also very playful. She enjoys hanging around apprentices and occasionally will play with the kits while the other cats share tongues. Her mind is perpetually focused on ten things at a time. She is not easily overwhelmed, but can get herself overworked without realizing it. Once she has a goal in mind, she will work at it until she achieves it, although at times she can lose sight of the goals she has set for herself.
Wants:
She wants always to learn and enjoy what she learns. She tries her best to do what is right, though her efforts are not always necessary, nor are they always useful.
Fears:
She has a fear of two legs, which causes an internal struggle between her curiosity and her dislike of them. Her other fears include her fear of dying trees. She is very easily scared by them, afraid that the branches will fall on and crush her. She is also afraid of wasps. Though she has never been stung, she goes well out of her way to avoid their hives.
Goals :
She wants to have a life full of many experiences, good and bad. She appreciates all happenings as forms of gaining knowledge about the world she inhabits and does not avoid bad things. One of her other goals is to understand the cats of other clans. She often wonders what other clans are like, though she dislikes them.
Skills:
She is a good speaker, and thinks well in the long-term scheme of things. She is good at planning and seeing past the immediate effects of what she does. Her awareness of her surroundings is very high, and she is good at tracking and hunting. Her speed also makes her a good runner, able to run for miles a day.
Likes:
Emberthorn has a strange appreciation of storms. She likes rain, but more than that, lightning. She fins it beautiful to watch it strike and to listen to thunder. She likes young cats, and enjoys having debates with any cat willing to talk.
Dislikes:
Her biggest, most irrational fear is of dying trees. She also dislikes other clans, and dirty water. She greatly dislikes waking up with dew on her fur, or having dawn patrol, as she has to go through the mist.
Reason for taking high-position:
Emberthorn is always looking for ways to learn more about herself, others, and the world she lives in. She has a strong sense of unfaltering service to her clan, even when it is not necessarily important. She tries her best to please the cats around her rather than herself, and often does so. She feels that her place is as a helper to the others that she is around, and that it is her duty as a member of the clan rather than just being another cat who is there to serve themselves, and nothing more.
Take a look into my P A S T:
History:
Emberthorn was born into MistClan and grew up with her mother and father, and her two siblings. She didn't grow up with many hardships, although her parents were both very strict with her. Her brother was seen as the "favorite", clearly more important than she and her sister to their parents. She didn't find it fair as a young kit, but grew out of that stage, deciding instead to ignore it and continue on. Her father was killed while hunting solo when she was fifteen moons old. He died while chasing a squirrel up a partially fallen tree, during which the tree cracked. Emberthorn largely tried to avoid talking about his death, refusing to speak with her siblings and mother unless they were speaking of other subjects. Consequently, she has not been close to them much at all during her lifetime. Most of her youth was spent envying her brother, while the majority of her adult life was spent ignoring her family.
After his death, however, her family began to mend itself more, with less strained talk between them.
Significant memories:
Emberthorn was scratched on her eye by her brother as a kit while they were play fighting. The scratch, while not deep, cut part of her lens. She ended up spending three days in the medicine cats den while it healed. She still cannot see perfectly out of it, and her vision turns grey and blue at times. Another memory of hers was when her father died just four moons after becoming a warrior. While his death was sorrowful, it was bittersweet, as it brought her family closer after their frequent arguments. Her first day she went out swimming, she came close to drowning. Her siblings decided to have a water fight, pushing her underwater. There was no serious injury to her, although the memory sticks with her quite clearly.

In character example:
Shafts of soft yellow sunlight fell in slanted rays to the forest floor. Their dappled blotches of light mixed with the murky pockets of shadow tucked away under a bush here, behind a nettle patch there. No breeze brought relief of the stifling heat to the forest. Few cats dared brave the heat for longer than to run to the river and dive in. Even in camp, the usual buzz of activity had dimmed to little more than a few who lay splayed out in the shade, wishing for at least a small breeze. Emberthorn was padding just off a deer trail, following the scent of rabbit. Her steps were heavy, sluggish strides, betraying how exhausted she was. The thick coat of fur she bore did not help; even its summer length was too much to be comfortable.
Her temper was just as hot as the sun beaming down on her back. As to be expected with the temperatures at their current level. Not to mention, she had been assigned a sun-high patrol. She paused to scent the air, yawning multiple times in a vain attempt to dispel the stifling heat. She let out a long breath, shaking herself vigorously. Emberthorn fleetingly considered chasing another catch, knowing full well that out-running a rabbit would be taxing enough. At the same time, she knew that no other prey had the guts to go out of its home right now. This rabbit was the last catch before she would return to camp. And camp meant shade and a trip to the river to cool off.
Sweeping her gaze over the blooming carpets of harebell and marigold, she started to walk once more, following the mossy scent of rabbit. Her steps quickened as she sensed her catch drawing closer. She must prepare herself to run now, not later. Her claws slid out, anticipating the chase now. Just a few more minutes and she would be victorious, a good catch in her jaws and another patrol finished. That was all she really desired, after all.
